ArtSide at NJPAC Phase 1 is the first step in the creation of a vibrant new neighborhood on the Newark Riverfront. L+M was awarded the site through a competitive RFP process in 2019 and is now collaborating with partner NJPAC to realize the mixed-use, transit-oriented development on Center Street adjacent to the Arts Center.

The project will include approximately 334 residential rental units and 20,000 square feet of retail and commercial space. Significant investment will be made to utility infrastructure and public open space, including the introduction of the Mulberry Street extension, a pedestrian oriented private street that sits between NJPAC and the new development.
