Miramar — developed by LMXD, MSquared and Taconic Partners — consists of two interconnected, mixed-income, mixed-use residential buildings with nearly 700 rental apartments, ground-floor retail, parking and a supermarket. Forty percent of the homes are affordable and the remaining sixty percent are market-rate. The project also provides a home for The People’s Theatre — an immigrant- and women-of-color-led cultural organization and Manhattan’s largest performing arts organization north of Harlem. Its core programs will engage artists and students through dedicated partnerships with local schools and curated theater workshops.
The development features all-electric heating and cooling and is pursuing a LEED BD+C Silver certification. The extensive residential amenity suite includes an attended lobby, several landscaped courtyards and roof decks, a fitness center, coworking spaces, lounge spaces and music rehearsal rooms. Located in the park-rich Inwood neighborhood in Upper Manhattan, the development is easily accessible by the 1 and A trains, as well as the Metro North University Heights station.
